LIGHTING UP THROUGH THE CHAKRAS SERIES
Join us for a series of slow flow yoga practices with a focus on the chakras, restoratives, and deep relaxation. These sessions are designed to clear stagnant energy, release heaviness, boost immunity, and revitalize your well-being.
In each class, we will focus on a different energy center, always beginning with grounding so you feel rooted as you progressively release stagnant energy and deeper tension. We will pay special attention to circulation, breath, and digestion, as we harness the expansive energy of spring. While each class will bring us deeper into one energy center at a time, we will always pay attention to the βwhole.β
My intention for this series is to support our ability to stay well through our ever-shifting circumstances and enhance our aliveness, openness, and capacity to nourish ourselves and each other.

Root and Nourish: Base Chakra Slow Flow
In this practice, weβll explore the root chakra, which is tied to stability β how you do (or donβt) find your ground and center. Located at the base of the spine at the tailbone-level, the root chakra is known as βthe root of all things.β It is concerned with the basic things you need for stability and sustainability in your life, such as shelter, food, and safety, as well as more emotional needs, such as letting go of fear. When these needs are met, you feel grounded and stable, and you tend to worry less day-to-day. In this way, it acts as our center of emotional and spiritual balance, as well as instinctual consciousness.
Weβll start with a rooting practice, connecting with our feet, legs and pelvis, in order to keep us energized as we move through this transformational season.
