Long days spent on a plane or in a car or walking around a new city can cause muscle tightness and exhaustion, lead to excess tension in the shoulders and hips, and create dysregulation in our digestive system.

This short practice is a great way to prepare for your trip, as well as for when you arrive β€” and all vacation long. We'll flow through some simple stretches for the psoas, hips, shoulders, and neck, and include a few extra twists to keep things flowing in the gut. If you have access to two towels, that would be helpful.

I've received so many requests for short practices that more easily fit into busy days, and I thought the heart of summer was the perfect time to drop them. 

This collection of practices will help you cool off, prep for travel (or help you ease into your return), strengthen your lower back, and relieve tight shoulders, neck, and upper back. 

Plus, since Summer Fridays may have you on the road, we'll meet on Monday evenings, so you can start your week strong, centered, and openβ€”or return to the practice whenever you need to all week long.
