ESSENTIAL AYURVEDIC TOOLS FOR AUTUMN  πŸŒΎ

2-PART SERIES WITH SPECIAL GUEST TEACHER
JENNIFER KURDYLA

HOSTED BY JILLIAN PRANSKY

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4 & FRIDAY OCTOBER 18

10:00-10:40 AM EDT

Seasonal alignment is a pillar of health and healing in both the Ayurvedic and yoga traditions. When we acknowledge the qualities and elements at play in our external and internal environments, we can make choices for how we eat, move, and relate to each other that helps us embrace change rather than resist it.

In this two-part series, you'll learn practical tools and techniques to guide your yoga practice and self-care rituals to support pitta and vata doshas, which are in transition as we enter the autumn season (in the Northern hemisphere). The drastic and variable changes in weather and energy between summer and fall can lead to depletion of the body and mindβ€”especially the immune system and nervous system. But there's a juicy, delicious antidote to the all-too-common imbalances of anxiety, insomnia, dryness, fatigue, body aches and pains, and fall and winter illnesses that accompany vata dosha: OJAS, the elixir of immunity and source of our inner resilience and radiance.

Our first session will be a discussion of the qualities of this seasonal transition, including signs and symptoms of pitta and vata imbalances, and general home remedies that support digestion and mental clarity to build ojas. Our second session will be a vata-balancing yoga practice, focused on fostering rhythm and circulation for the smooth movement of prana, which is responsible for carrying nourishment and creating stability throughout the system. These practices will not only help you feel warm and centered as we move toward autumn, but also support common mental and physical stressors all year long.
