“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” — Viktor Frankl
Explore the space between stimulus and response, where you can leave behind your habitual solutions and cultivate a living relationship with the present moment. As you learn to relax into this space—the pause—and see life and yourself more clearly, you can flow forward with more clarity, wisdom, presence, and wholeheartedness.
As we learn to Pause, we set conditions to grow more grounded and open; to grow present and listen more deeply. Pausing mindfully provides us with more resources and a greater capacity—physically, mentally, emotionally, and relationally—to respond calmly, clearly, and wisely, and also to engage more fully and expansively in our life. We can learn to both, expand our attention inward; sensing our body, mind, and heart more clearly, as well as expand our attention outwardly; allowing us to choose how we want to participate in the present moment as it's happening.
This retreat combines slow yoga, relaxation, meditation, contemplation, and mindful walks in nature to help you balance your ability to be strong and open in life’s ever-changing now.
In each practice session, Jillian guides you skillfully through mindful movement, internal observation, rhythmic breathing, and fully supported rest in order to experience a deep sense of connectedness. This feeling of connection not only changes the way we respond to stress, it actually leaves us feeling less stressed, increases the amount of ease in our life, and sets the conditions for us to evolve.
You take home a compassionate practice that draws you back to the present, over and over again.
