Tuesday, July 12: midsummer night’s rest mini-retreat | release & radiate
Summer is a time of expansion, and the way we approach our expansion, into the heart of the season, into the present moment, and into our communities, feels extra significant right now.
In the spirit of reinforcing our connections to ourselves, each other, and the world around us, we will nourish with loving-kindness practice (metta), glow gently through restorative movements, expand softly with heart-light breathing, and release and radiate with an extended yoga nidra.
This simple yet profound practice will be extra fortifying and include a high dose of the healing-energy of compassion that will help you process deeply held tension and create space for light to flow in, and through, you.
Come to rest, release, and radiate.
As we expand with the energy of summer, we can savor and receive the sun’s vibrant, healing life force to create space for our inner glow to radiate. In this practice series, we’ll work with postures that focus on our core and digestion, expansive breathing techniques to release tension and replenish our inner reserves, and lovingkindness meditations to reflect our light into the world. Through these practices we’ll learn to get grounded and open our awareness, so that we can bring this bright, unbound energy in and through our body, allowing us to give and receive more compassion and joy.
