Savasana Series: Standing Relaxation
This is the ultimate practice for learning how to take our conscious relaxation off the mat and out into our lives. Literally, we can step forward with the balance of being grounded, open, and present with this simple technique. Here’s the trick: Use this one all day long. For a couple of minutes or a couple of breaths, we can do our standing relaxation practice all day long—before we brush our teeth, do the dishes, when we're in line at the grocery store, as a quick break in the elevator, or as we are about to walk into a meeting or gathering.
This is where we are truly learning to integrate and sustain the benefits of our practice off the mat and out into our life. Of course, also, now that we know we can do it standing, anytime, anywhere, there is really no excuse for not being able to practice... : )
